Choir have completed rehearsals for this evening’s spine tingling, awesome performance. They are now having dinner at Imperial College. As ever, the children are being great ambassadors for the school.
Today, choir are performing as part of the School’s Prom at the Royal Albert Hall, London. All are very excited and a great day will be had by all. So proud!
The children remembered the fallen with a special whole school assembly on Friday at 11. Prior to this, the children had worked with their buddy to create ta poppy that was assembled as a focal point in the hall for the assembly.
Today, Headlands is proudly hosting the annual Northampton Primary Academy Trust conference. 260 teachers have descended on the school. We are really pleased to be showing off all of our children’s incredible work on display and our great school. We look forward to welcoming the children back to school tomorrow.
We had an exciting afternoon today as the older children supported the younger children playing maths games. This was the first of several sessions that we have planned throughout the year to foster buddying. It was great to see the support and nurture that the older children gave to the younger ones. In addition, Year 5 children support younger children as play leaders on the playground. Well done everyone.
Congratulations to those children who were invited to our first Head Teacher’s Tea today. The children are given a golden ticket if seen demonstrating good conduct at lunchtime. A ticket is chosen randomly from each year group’s jar in Friday’s assembly. The children who have their ticket drawn from the jar are invited for Tea and cake in the Emporium. Thank you to Mrs Smith for hosting HT in my absence today.
