We have spend an exciting morning exploring the splendour of Fougeres. The children are becoming confident with their conversational French. It is great to see their independence and confidence growing by the day. Chocolate factory next and then outward bound activities back at the chateau. Perfect! 🇫🇷
We have arrived at Le Mont St Michel. The weather is fabulous and the children are awestruck!
We have spent the morning in the beautiful city of Laval. The children have been learning the names of the different stalls and using their French with the stall holders.

Wow, thanks for the amazing support that dads have given to the school today. We love sharing learning and the magic of what happens in school with you. I regret that I was not in school today; it is because I am with the trust at the Festival of Education at Wellington College. This was diarised after the date for dads was published. Nevertheless, it is a great opportunity to consider future initiatives in school from leading educational thinkers.
Congratulations to the Friends of Headlands School for organising an incredible summer fair. Thanks also to the community for attending in such large numbers. The vibe throughout the day was great, everyone had an amazing time. Funds raised will go to support the added extras for all of our children. Well done Headlands.
As you will now be aware, our school is being inspected by OFSTED tomorrow. We have been expecting an inspection since last July and we are pleased that the day has finally come.
The inspection is a short inspection and will last the day. There will be one HMI inspector in attendance.
We have an incredible school and as its leader I am extremely proud to lead such a committed and hardworking staff, nothing less than the children deserve.
I have every confidence that the children will shine tomorrow as they always do and I look forward to showing the inspector all that Headlands is about.
Thanks everyone for your continued and lasting support.
